A painting, I started a decade ago, and completed recently.
During a two week visit from our daughter's new family, I held our first grandchild after dipping his feet in paint, and walked him across an old canvas.
The three "time" bands that weave upward, represent the three generations that interacted with our little "visitor", who brought blue skies to our world.
Born and raised in Indio, California, art and music have been an integral part of Jon's life since early childhood. He's primarily recognized for his surrealist paintings, but also experiments with pen and ink, mosaics, re-purposed materials, wood, and reverse painted plexiglass with L.E.D.s and fiber optics, among others. Much of his work evokes visual observation and commentary, or hidden meaning. His first professional endeavor was a political cartoon for an underground newspaper at the age of twelve.
